Friendship is for Adults is an ongoing Abridged Series based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, in which the characters are re-imagined as adult show type characters that curse like sailors. It stars Twilight Sparkle as she lives in Ponyville as punishment for disobeying Princess Celestia and trying to resurrect Nightmare Moon.
On May 18th, 2013 a preview consisting of the 1st episode's cold open was uploaded to The Kanterlot channel. A Promo was later released on September 24th, 2013 announcing a "October 2013" release date. After an brief production delay the show eventually aired on March 29th, 2014. On July 31st, 2016, with the release of the Origin Special, Friendship is for Adults concluded its 1st season. Season 2 began August 7th, 2016 with Episode 7 (with some season 2 episodes having already aired).
Plot[]
After stumbling upon a terrible secret, Twilight Sparkle sets out to overthrow her mentor Princess Celestia of Equestria. After Twilight's rebellion fails she is banished to the town of Ponyville. There, with the help of her little brother Spike and her friends Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity, Twilight occupies her time in Ponyville, learning what it means to be a friend and plotting her rise to power.
